Introduction
You probably already had (or still have) that beautiful dream of being proposed to. It is a very special moment in our lives.
Then you start planning, looking for vendors, and that discouragement hits when you realize everything is veeeeery expensive, right?
It was like that for me. John proposed during one of our trips. As soon as we got back home we researched and got discouraged by the costs.
So we decided two things:
Marry for us
That we wouldn’t get married to impress anyone. We would do it for us!
Use only what we had
And we would use only the amount we had saved: $5,000!
Making that decision we thought: "it will be impossible to get married with that amount".
But with a lot of research and a lot of creativity we finally got married with exactly $ 4,964.70!
And the idea of this material is to help you with ideas that will also make you marry spending little. It doesn't have to be with $5,000 or $6,000.. but just by saving a little bit this reading will have been worth it!
Of course, saving depends on several factors and the couple's preferences. But by following a tip here and another there, it is impossible not to save.
I hope from the bottom of my heart that it helps and your wedding is wonderful!
With love, Aline M.!
First of all02/19
First of all: Talk!
First of all you need to talk! This part can be tiring and you need to support each other. Always remembering that it is all for your happiness!
Communication is the foundation of every relationship and you will need to talk and decide together about the budget, priorities, guests etc..
And the most important part: you need to be sure that this is what you want.
Marriage is not a joke and requires love. Everything else we can figure out.. But without love and certainty of what you want.. it doesn't work!
Don’t get married because you think it’s cute or because your family is pressuring you. Because when the ceremony ends, it will just be you two dealing with life as a couple!
Define03/19
Define Priorities
Cutting out unnecessary things is one of the main factors to have a budget wedding!
So you need to define what is a priority and what you can give up.
"Do I really need this in the wedding? If I do not have this will the experience be bad? Am I wanting this just to impress others?"
I don’t want to be annoying and dictate what you should or shouldn’t do. You will dictate that. But remember: Don’t get married to impress others, because who will pay for everything is the two of you.
Thinking this way will help you stay focused on the budget you defined.. By the way let’s talk about that now!
Define the04/19
Define the Budget
The decision about the wedding budget is a crucial step and needs to be approached with transparency and understanding between you and your partner.
I separated some strategies to define and manage your wedding budget based on your earnings, ensuring that you build a solid financial future while celebrating the start of a new life together.
1. Inicie a Conversa Abertamente
Create a pleasant environment and choose a good time for the financial discussion.
Open the dialogue in a calm and open manner, showing the importance of creating a realistic budget that allows the celebration without generating unnecessary financial stress.
2. Analise as Finanças Atuais
Before determining the wedding budget, analyze your current finances as a couple.
List earnings, expenses and any financial commitments you have.
This will bring more clarity on how much money is available for the wedding.
3. Estabeleça Metas Financeiras Conjuntas
In addition to the wedding, discuss and establish joint long-term financial goals.
This could include plans to buy a house, travel or invest.
4. Create a Budget Spreadsheet
Develop a detailed budget spreadsheet for the wedding. Include categories such as venue, decoration, food, photography, and others.
This spreadsheet will serve as a useful tool for monitoring spending as you move through the planning process.
5. Economizem Juntos
Definam um plano pra economizar dinheiro juntos!
You can, for example, create a joint account specifically for the wedding.
Establish achievable monthly goals and work together to meet them.
6. Considere Alternativas Criativas
Se o orçamento estiver apertado, explorem alternativas criativas..
This could include DIY (do it yourself), asking for help from friends and family, or looking for suppliers who offer more affordable packages.
7. Mantenha uma Comunicação Constante
Communication is key. Always talk about your financial progress and adjust the budget as necessary.
If unforeseen events arise, discuss solutions together to keep finances under control.
By defining and managing the wedding budget based on both earnings, you will not only be celebrating the start of a new phase of life, but also establishing a solid foundation for the financial journey you will have together.
Optimizing your05/19
Optimizing your guest list
When planning a budget wedding, the guest list is one of the first and most crucial steps, because by knowing the number of people you will be able to add up the values of several other things.
Here are some strategies to ensure your list is not only financially responsible, but also full of the most significant people in your life.
1. Prioritize Significant Relationships
When making your guest list, focus on the closest friends and family.
Instead of inviting distant acquaintances or colleagues with whom you do not have a close relationship, choose to include those who played a fundamental role in your lives.
2. Be Selective with Distant Relatives
Avoid the pressure of inviting all distant relatives.
Prefer to include those with whom you maintain a closer relationship, instead of automatically inviting all family members just because they are the same blood as you.
Everyone has that aunt who you only invited so she would not talk bad about you, right?! Cut her from the list now!
3. Consider a More Intimate Wedding
Smaller weddings generally provide a more welcoming and meaningful atmosphere.
Having a more intimate ceremony will automatically reduce the number of guests, helping you spend more on other more important details.
4. Virtual Invitations
Today we live in a digital world, and virtual invitations are already something very common in all types of events.
In addition to being a more sustainable option, you will save a lot on costs associated with printing and sending traditional invitations.
5. Smaller Pre-Wedding Events
If you want to share your day with a wider circle, how about holding smaller pre-wedding events? like a brunch or tea, to celebrate with those who are not on the main wedding list. (Just a tip!)
6. "Adults Only" Policy
Limiting the list only to adults is also an effective way to reduce the number of guests.
This not only saves on costs, but also creates a more adult and sophisticated atmosphere. But if you do not want to reduce your list, stay calm! There are several ways to save on everything.
It is always important to remember that the quality of the moments shared with those who really love you surpasses the quantity of guests.
When you rethink your list to include only those closest and dear to you, you not only save, but also create a more intimate and meaningful environment for your big day.
Strategies for choosing06/19
Strategies for choosing a budget date
The choice of date is also something very important and can have a big impact on the overall budget.
I have left here some smart strategies to select an affordable date, allowing you to make the most of your big day without exhausting your savings.
Oh, remembering that besides knowing the economical months it is also important to know the flowers of each month and the climate in your region (I talked about this in the bonus "months guide").
Let’s go..
1. Off-Peak Seasons
Opt for dates outside the traditional wedding season, which usually occurs during spring and summer.
Choosing a wedding during fall or winter can provide not only a unique atmosphere, but also substantial savings on venues, flowers and other services.
2. Weekdays
Having your wedding on a weekday instead of a Saturday is a good strategy to save on venues and services.
Competition is lower during working days, allowing you to negotiate lower prices.
3. Avoid Holidays and Special Dates
This tip follows the same principle as the previous tip..
Weddings held on holidays and special commemorative dates can be more expensive due to high demand.
Avoid these dates so as not to compete with other couples and spend more.
4. Have Ceremony and Reception at the Same Venue
Performing the ceremony and the reception in the same place can greatly reduce costs.
This not only simplifies all the wedding logistics, but can also result in discounts, as many venues offer complete packages for events held at the same location.
5. Wedding on Less Traditional Days
Choosing not so traditional dates, such as Friday nights or Sundays, can result in lower prices for venues, suppliers and even catering services (buffet).
6. Morning or Afternoon Wedding
Choosing the morning or afternoon period to get married can be more economical than evening events.
Furthermore, daytime events offer the flexibility to choose lighter menus, reducing food costs.
7. Flexibilidade nas Datas
Maintain a window of flexibility when choosing the date.
Many vendors offer discounts for events scheduled in advance or on upcoming dates that have not yet been booked.
Choosing an economical date not only saves you money, but also increases the chance of securing the availability of your desired vendors and venues.
Think outside the box, Bride-to-be! Consider options that align both with your budget and the unique vision you have for your wedding.
Choosing the07/19
Choosing the wedding style
The choice of wedding style adds a unique layer to the wedding, making the celebration truly reflect the couple!
Even in a budget wedding, you can create an enchanting environment that aligns with different styles. Here are the wedding styles to help you with this choice:
1. Rústico
Características: Elementos naturais, madeira desgastada, decoração vintage, flores silvestres.

Economic Tips: Choose venues with classic architecture, opt for traditional flowers and explore timeless attire.
4. Vintage (this was my choice)

Economic Tips: Visit second-hand stores for decoration, choose vintage attire or family pieces, look for venues with a vintage air.
5. Minimalista

7. Eclético

8. Temático

Economic Tips: Use creativity to incorporate the theme into the decoration, choose locations that suit the chosen theme.
Regardless of the style chosen, the key to an affordable wedding is creativity and the ability to find affordable options that still capture the desired essence.
Personalize the wedding according to your preferences, and the result will be a unique and unforgettable celebration.
Choosing08/19
Choosing the venue
The choice of the wedding venue plays a crucial role in defining the tone and style of your big day.
Therefore, before choosing the venue, define the wedding style so that everything matches!
I have separated the best tips for choosing the ideal venue:
1. Wedding Style
Define the wedding style you like best. If you seek something more formal, a ballroom might be ideal.
For a more relaxed style, consider outdoor spaces such as parks or gardens.
2. Less Traditional Venues
Think outside the conventional..
Less traditional venues, such as a country house, a public beach or an art space, often offer cheaper rates.
You can even get married for free on the beach, depending on the city, and that is what I did! Search for this information at your local city hall.
3. Multipurpose Spaces
Look for spaces that can be used for both ceremony and reception. Like the church you attend, the condo hall, etc.
This not only saves money, but also simplifies logistical planning.
4. Wedding at Home
Have you ever thought about getting married at home? That is right! A home-wedding.
Whether it is at a friend house who has a large backyard or in your own house.
This can create a very intimate atmosphere and make you save a lot by getting married at a free location.
5. Wedding in Nearby Destinations
Look for options in nearby destinations.
Rural areas or smaller cities can offer beautiful venues like farms or ranches at more accessible prices than busy urban areas.
6. Inclusive Packages
Some venues offer inclusive packages that cover various services, such as catering, decoration and even accommodation.
These packages can be more economical than hiring suppliers separately.
7. Public Spaces
Consider public spaces, such as parks, beaches or squares.
Often, these places are free or have very cheap permit fees to hold events.
8. Venues with Basic Infrastructure
Choose venues that already have some basic infrastructure, such as tables, chairs and catering facilities.
This will reduce additional costs with equipment rental.
9. Less Crowded Times
Choose less crowded dates and times.
As we said earlier, this can help you pay less due to low competition.
10. Price Negotiation
Be willing to negotiate. Many venues are open to negotiations, especially if you are willing to be flexible with dates or combine additional services.
Remember that the key to a budget wedding is creativity and the willingness to think outside the box.
By choosing a venue that reflects the couple style and fits the budget, you will be on the right track to create unforgettable memories without compromising finances.
Invitations09/19
Wedding Invitations
Wedding invitations are the first impression guests have of your big day.
Even in a budget wedding, you can create charming invitations that reflect the couple style.
See some tips for creating amazing wedding invitations without exceeding your budget:
1. Simple and Elegant Design
Opt for a simple and elegant design. Often, less is more, and a clean invitation can be as impactful as a more elaborate one.
2. DIY (Do It Yourself)
Consider the DIY option for invitations.
With accessible materials, such as beautiful papers, stamps and ribbons, it is possible to create unique and personalized invitations.
3. Choice of Sober Colors
Opt for a sober color palette.
Neutral and elegant colors can convey more sophistication than colored invitations, even on simpler ones.
4. Accessible Materials
Choose accessible materials.
Good quality papers do not need to be expensive, and can be found in craft stores or stationeries.
5. Digital Invitations
Consider the option of digital invitations.
Besides being eco-friendly, they are an economical alternative and can be personalized according to the couple style. I made mine on Canva.
6. Incorporate Personal Elements
Add personal elements to the invitation, such as a photo of the couple or a detail that represents your history.
7. Avoid Excesses
Avoid excess information.
Keep the invitations simple, including only essential information, such as date, time and location.
8. Legible Fonts
Choose legible fonts. Opt for clear and elegant fonts to ensure information is easily understood by guests.
9. Discounts and Promotions
Look for discounts and promotions. Many print shops or online invitation stores offer special offers, especially when buying in quantity.
10. Collaborative Crafting
If you have skilled friends or family, ask for help creating the invitations. This not only reduces costs, but also makes the process more fun.
Remember that invitations are an important but small part of the total wedding budget.
By focusing on simplicity, creativity and using more economical means, it is possible to create invitations that not only save money, but also enchant guests from the start.
Dress10/19
The Bride's Dress
The wedding dress is a central and emotional piece of the wedding. Finding the perfect dress that aligns with your style and your pocket is totally possible.
I will give you some tips and also tell you what I did to spend little on the dress:
1. Establish a Value
Before you start looking, define how much you are willing to spend on the dress.
This will give you direction when choosing, and help avoid the temptation to choose a more expensive dress lol.
2. Budget Bridal Stores
Explore budget bridal stores and outlets.
Often, these stores offer beautiful dresses at much more accessible prices than traditional boutiques.
3. Used or Second-Hand Dresses
Consider the option of buying a used or second-hand dress.
Many brides wear their dresses only once, and you can find almost new options at significantly reduced prices.
I recommend searching on Facebook Marketplace and also in bridal resale groups. That is what I did and I found one exactly how I wanted for $250!
4. Past Collections
Explore past wedding dress collections.
Boutiques often offer discounts on dresses from previous seasons, and the visual difference is often very small.
5. Department Stores and Local Ateliers
Check department stores or local ateliers that offer wedding dresses at more accessible prices.
Some brands have specific lines for brides on a short budget.
6. DIY (Faça Você Mesma)
Consider the option of making your own dress or having a family member or friend seamstress help.
This can add a personal touch and greatly reduce the cost!
7. Dress Rental
Explore the option of renting a wedding dress.
This is an economical path, especially if you do not plan to keep the dress as a memory.
8. Search for Promotions and Discounts
Stay tuned for promotions and discounts at bridal stores.
Often, special events or sales offer the opportunity to buy a high-quality dress for a very small price.
9. Personalization of Ready-made Dresses
If you find a ready-made dress you like, consider customizing it with simple alterations.
This can be more economical than ordering a fully customized dress.
10. Consider Unconventional Dresses
Think beyond traditional white.
Dresses in different colors or less conventional styles are often more accessible and add a unique touch to your appearance.
Decoration11/19
Wedding Decoration
A decoração é uma parte fundamental pra criar o clima desejado no seu casamento.
Even with a limited budget you can have a beautiful decoration!
See how to have a beautiful and economical decoration:
1. DIY (Faça Você Mesma)
Harness the power of DIY to create personalized decorative elements.
From centerpieces to chair details, the handmade touch can add charm without costing much.
2. Creative Use of Candles
Candles are economical and very charming decorative elements.
Use simple glass jars or decorated cans as candle holders to create a romantic atmosphere.
3. Seasonal Flowers
Choose seasonal flowers for your wedding.
In addition to being more accessible, they will be at their best, adding natural beauty to the decoration.
4. Recycle and Reuse
Utilize itens reciclados ou reutilizados na decoração.
Vintage items such as frames, bottles and decorative objects can be found at affordable prices in second-hand stores.
In fact, that is what I did, using old family items and buying at bazaars.
5. Decoração Suspensa
Consider hanging decorations, such as paper garlands, lanterns or pompoms.
They add a festive touch and can be made with economical materials.
6. Rental of Decorations
Explore rental options for more expensive decorative items such as furniture, curtains and even centerpieces.
This will significantly reduce costs compared to buying.
7. Iluminação Estratégica
Use lighting strategically.
Fairy lights, candles and lanterns are economical options that can transform the environment.
8. DIY Dessert Table
Create a DIY dessert table.
Prepare simple desserts and present them enchantingly with a variety of vintage plates, trays and cutlery.
9. Plant Rental
Consider renting plants instead of buying expensive flowers.
Green plants add freshness to the decoration and can be returned or planted after the event.
10. Decoration with Photos
Use photos of the couple, family and friends as decoration.
This creates a personal atmosphere and is an economical way to add significant touches.
11. Mix of Textures and Fabrics
Add visual interest to the decoration through a mix of textures and fabrics.
This can be achieved with tablecloths, pillows and details like lace or ribbons.
The key to creating an economical wedding decoration is creativity and the ability to make the most of available resources.
By investing time and effort in DIY elements, choosing wisely where to spend and being innovative in the selection of materials, you can achieve a charming and meaningful decoration without exceeding the budget.
Menu12/19
Wedding Menu
The wedding menu plays a very important role in the guest experience.
So here are suggestions for food, drinks and desserts, plus tips for saving:
Food
1. Simple and Elegant Buffet
Opt for a simple but elegant buffet, offering a variety of salads, pastas, meats and vegetables.
Isso permite que os convidados escolham suas preferências.
Ideal for lunch or dinner.
2. DIY Food Station
Create DIY food stations, such as a taco station, pasta or gourmet burgers.
Guests can customize their meals, making the event more interactive. It is also a great option for lunch and dinner.
3. Local and Seasonal Food
Choose dishes that use local and seasonal ingredients.
Isso não apenas realça o sabor, mas muitas vezes é mais econômico.
4. Appetizers and Finger Foods
Serve snacks and finger foods as appetizers.
This is economical and creates a relaxed atmosphere. You can choose this option instead of lunch or dinner. It fits great!
5. Food Truck Rental
Consider the option of renting food trucks to provide a variety of gastronomic options at more accessible prices.
6. Brunch
This is an option I love. Brunch is like a heartier breakfast, like those at hotels.
It fits great if your wedding is between 7am and 11:30am.
In addition to being delicious, you also save on waiters because the guests serve themselves.
Some examples of what to serve at a brunch: homemade cakes, breads, fruits, coffees, teas, milk, natural juices, cheeses, cold cuts, scrambled eggs etc.
Drinks
1. Signature Bar
Offer a signature bar with a few personalized cocktail options.
This allows variety without the need for a full open bar.
2. Drinks não Alcoólicas DIY
Create a DIY non-alcoholic drink station with flavored waters, lemonades and iced teas.
3. Bulk Wine and Sparkling Wine
Opt for bulk wine and sparkling wine instead of a selection of spirits.
Muitas vezes, isso é mais econômico.
4. Local Craft Beer Bar
If the couple and guests appreciate craft beers, create a bar with local beer options.
This can be more accessible than a selection of wines.
5. Faça Sucos Naturais
Essa dica é a melhor! E foi o que eu fiz.
Go to a market and buy good fruits for juices, such as: watermelon, passion fruit, lemon, guava etc.
Put them in juice dispensers and serve at the wedding!
They are delicious, economical and healthy.
Desserts
1. DIY Dessert Table
Create a DIY dessert table with homemade desserts such as cupcakes, cookies and traditional sweets.
2. Cake Simples Decorado
Opt for a simple wedding cake, but elegantly decorated. This is often more economical than elaborate cakes.
3. Small Portion Desserts
Serve desserts in small portions, such as mini pies, puddings or cheesecakes. This reduces waste and allows guests to try various options.
Saving Tips
1. Negotiate with Suppliers
Negotiate prices with suppliers and explore packages that include food, drink and services to get discounts.
2. Self-service Drink Stations
Use self-service drink stations to reduce labor costs.
3. Reuse Decoration on the Dessert Table
Reuse reception decoration elements on the dessert table to save on additional decorations.
4. Non-Alcoholic Drinks on Consignment
Consider negotiating with suppliers for non-alcoholic drinks on consignment, where you only pay for what is consumed.
5. The Wedding Cake
Nowadays the cake is more of a decorative item than part of the menu. So we can use that to our advantage to save..
How about leaving a fake cake on the cake table? (You can do it yourself with YouTube tutorials. Super easy and fun!)
And for serving you can buy a cake at a bakery, that is what I did and saved a lot!
The ideal quantity is 100g of cake per person!
6. Family Style Buffet Service
Choose a family-style buffet service, where dishes are placed in the center of the tables, encouraging interaction between guests and reducing the need for waiters.
Donot forget bride-to-be, the secret lies in simplicity and choosing options that reflect the personal taste of the couple.
By thinking creatively and being flexible with choices, you can create a menu that is not only economical, but also delicious and unforgettable.
Wedding13/19
Pay-per-guest wedding
Contribution weddings (potluck or shared cost) are an interesting alternative for those who want a more relaxed and economical celebration.
In this format, guests contribute financially to the event, sharing the costs associated with the wedding celebration.
Here I have separated some tips on how to organize a contribution wedding:
1. Comunicação Transparente
From the beginning, communicate the idea of a contribution wedding transparently to the guests.
Explain that everyone is invited to participate financially to help cover the costs.
2. Clear Invitations
Include clear information in the invitations about the nature of the contribution wedding.
You can mention something like "In a spirit of collaboration, we invite you to participate financially in this special moment."
Those who love you will probably feel happy to help realize your dream.
3. Contribution Options
Offer different contribution options so guests can choose how much they want or can contribute.
This could include contribution packages (you define values like $10, $20 or $50 for example) or a free contribution (they give whatever amount they want).
4. Wish List
Create a wish list or specific goals.
This way guests will feel more excited to help you knowing exactly what the money is being used for.
For example, mention that donations can help cover costs for the venue, food, decoration, among others.
5. Plataformas Online
Use online platforms to facilitate the contribution process.
There are several tools that allow fundraising in a safe and convenient way.
6. Agradeça Publicamente
Recognize and thank contributors publicly during the wedding or at other specific times, such as on social media.
This shows appreciation for their participation and people feel important and happy to have helped in something as beautiful as a wedding!
7. Evento Acessível
Plan an event that is accessible and comfortable for all guests, regardless of the amount they chose to contribute.
Isso evita qualquer desconforto ou constrangimento.
8. Considerações Éticas
Be aware of ethical and cultural issues associated with contribution weddings.
Some people may feel uncomfortable with the idea, so it is fundamental to approach the situation with care.
9. Acompanhamento Grato
After the wedding, send personalized thank-you messages to all contributors, highlighting how special the celebration was thanks to their support.
10. Seja Flexível
Be flexible and understanding regarding individual circumstances of the guests.
Not everyone can contribute the same way, and this should be respected.
Contribution weddings allow the couple to share the joy of the moment with friends and family in a collaborative way.
But it is essential to approach this with respect and consideration, to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and that the celebration is remembered positively by all.
Party Favors14/19
Wedding Party Favors
Wedding favors are a kind way to thank guests for sharing the special moment of the wedding.
Even in an economical wedding, it is possible to create charming favors that will be appreciated.
Here are some ideas and tips for economical wedding favors:
1. Lembranças Comestíveis
Opt for edible favors, such as homemade cookies, personalized chocolates or jam jars. Simple and creative packaging can make these favors even more special.
2. Plant Seeds
Offer plant seed packets.
This eco-friendly favor is symbolic and can be a lasting memory of your wedding.
3. Velas Artesanais

Isso adiciona um toque sustentável.
3. Buy in Bulk
If possible, buy materials in bulk to get discounts, especially if you are making many favors.

Escolha lembranças que os convidados possam realmente usar, evitando itens que podem ser esquecidos ou jogados fora.
Remember, the important thing in the memories is the intention and the effort put into them.
Even on a short budget, you can create charming memories that reflect the love and gratitude of the couple.
Fotografia15/19
Photography and Film
Photography and videography are fundamental elements to preserve the memories of your wedding.
Here I have some strategies to get photography and filming services in an economical way:
1. Pacotes Combinados
Many companies offer combined packages for photography and videography.
This option is generally more economical than hiring services separately.
2. Escolha o Essencial
Se o orçamento estiver apertado, concentre-se nos serviços essenciais.
Prioritize coverage of the ceremony, photos of the couple and filming of key moments.
3. Local Photographers and Videographers
Opt for local professionals.
Local photographers and videographers often have more accessible prices and are familiar with the region scenery.
4. Profissionais Menos Conhecidos
Considere profissionais menos conhecidos, mas talentosos.
Often, they are willing to offer more competitive prices to build their portfolios, that is the opportunity I took advantage of.
5. Double Session with a Professional
Consider having one professional for both tasks.
Some photographers also offer filming services or vice versa, which can reduce costs.
6. Faça Você Mesmo (DIY)
To save even more, explore the DIY option for some moments.
Ask friends or family to record specific moments with their cameras.
7. Edição Simples
Solicite uma edição mais simples.
Instead of sophisticated editing features, opt for a more natural style, which can reduce costs.
8. Filming with One Camera
If the videographer is out of budget, an alternative is to ask a skilled friend to film the ceremony with a high-quality camera.
9. Custom Packages Negotiation
Negotiate custom packages.
Some professionals may be willing to adjust their packages to meet your specific needs and budget.
10. Portfolio Review
Before hiring, review the professional portfolio.
Make sure the style and quality of work meet your expectations.
Additional Tips
Priority Moments List
Create a list of priority moments to ensure all desired photos and videos are captured.
Understand the Contract Terms
Carefully read the contract terms to understand all clauses related to additional costs, service time and final material delivery.
Wedding Time
Plan the wedding time to make the most of natural light, which can result in more vibrant photos and videos.
Feedback Antecipado
Provide early feedback on the desired style of photography and filming to ensure the professional captures the essence of your wedding.
By balancing strategic choices and economical options, it is possible to have photography and filming services that tell the story of your wedding in an authentic and memorable way.
O carro16/19
The Bride Car
The bride car is an exciting and very symbolic aspect of the wedding.
Even in an economical wedding, you can choose a car that adds glamour and elegance to your arrival.
See here how to choose the bride car in an economical way:
1. Personal or Friend Car
Consider using your own car or borrowing the car of friends or family members.
This can be a meaningful and economical option.
2. Local Car Services
Look for local car services.
Local companies generally offer more competitive prices than those that serve large-scale events.
3. Hourly Rental
Opt for renting the car by the hour instead of a full package.
If the distance to the ceremony location is short, this can be more economical.
4. Carros Clássicos Comunitários
Verifique se há carros clássicos disponíveis na comunidade local.
Sometimes, owners of vintage cars are willing to offer their vehicles for special events.
5. Faça Você Mesmo (DIY)
Decore o carro pessoalmente.
Buy or make simple decorations, such as flowers or bows, to add a personal touch to the vehicle.
6. Less Known Rental Companies
Explore less known car rental companies.
They can offer more accessible prices without sacrificing service quality.
7. Veículos Alternativos
Consider alternative vehicles, such as horse-drawn carriages, decorated bicycles or even a romantic walk if the location allows.
8. Package Negotiation
When negotiating with rental companies, ask if there are packages available for other services.
Sometimes, hiring several services can result in discounts.
9. Uber Black
This tip is wonderful and I used it myself!
Everyone has the Uber app and is used to using it daily. And in the Black category there are newer and more luxurious cars like BMW, among others.
You can call an Uber Black to take you to the wedding and arrive in style for a very low price!
Additional Tips
Acordo Detalhado
Have a detailed agreement with the rental company or vehicle owner.
Make sure you understand the costs, the rental period and the vehicle conditions.
Test Drive
If possible, take a test drive of the vehicle before the wedding to ensure everything is in order.
Simple and Elegant Decoration
Opt for a simple and elegant decoration for the car.
Isso pode ser tão impactante quanto decorações mais elaboradas.
Insurance and Liability
Make sure to discuss insurance and liability issues with the rental company or vehicle owner.

Wedding Suppliers
Finding reliable suppliers is crucial for the wedding success, but knowing how to prioritize which services are truly necessary is a valuable skill to plan an affordable wedding.
I have left some tips here to find reliable suppliers and, at the same time, save intelligently:
1. Pesquisa Estratégica
Start your research focusing on essential suppliers.
These are elements that directly impact the wedding experience.
2. Recommendations and Reviews
Seek recommendations from friends and family, but focus on recommendations related to priority suppliers.
Online reviews are also valuable, mainly for those services that significantly impact the event.
3. DIY Inteligente
Explore DIY options strategically.
For example, you can choose to assemble your invitations, decorate the space or even create small floral arrangements, reducing costs without compromising quality.
4. Clothing Rental
Consider clothing rental for the wedding.
Both the bride and groom attire can be rented, providing considerable savings compared to buying.
5. Música Personalizada
Replace the cost of a DJ with a personalized playlist on a flash drive.
This not only saves money, but also allows you to choose meaningful music for the couple.
6. Fotografia Prioritária
Prioritize photography and filming, but look for leaner packages.
Opt for specific coverage periods that align with crucial wedding moments.
7. Flexibilidade nas Datas
Be flexible with wedding dates.
Suppliers often offer discounts for events held on less crowded days.
8. Combination of Services
Considere fornecedores que oferecem serviços combinados, como local que inclui catering.
This can result in more competitive prices than hiring these services separately.
10. Prioridades Pessoais
Evaluate your personal priorities and spend more in areas that are truly important to you.
For example, if decoration is not a priority, opt for simpler alternatives.
By following these strategies, you will not only find reliable suppliers, but also ensure each choice contributes to achieving a meaningful wedding, reflecting your preferences and values, even within a more restricted budget.
A ordem do18/19
The Procession Order
The entry order in a wedding can vary according to cultural and religious traditions and the personal preferences of the couple.
But here is a common sequence for a traditional wedding ceremony:
1. Entrance of Groomsmen and Bridesmaids
Groomsmen and bridesmaids enter first, often in pairs, and position themselves at the altar or in their designated seats.
2. Entrada dos Pais dos Noivos
The couple parents usually enter next, followed by the bride parents and finally the groom parents.
Eles ocupam seus lugares na primeira fila.
3. Entrada dos Avós
Em algumas cerimônias, os avós dos noivos podem entrar antes dos pais.
4. Entrance of the Groom
O noivo entra geralmente acompanhado pelos padrinhos.
He can be at the altar waiting for the bride or enter with her.
5. Entrance of Flower Girls and Ring Bearers
If there are flower girls and ring bearers, they enter at this time.
Podem levar flores, alianças ou realizar outras tarefas simbólicas.
6. Entrance of the Bride
The big moment! The bride enters, accompanied by her father, both walking down the aisle to the altar.
In some cases, the bride may choose to enter alone or be accompanied by another significant person.
7. Cerimônia
The ceremony itself, with vows, exchange of rings and other rituals according to tradition or religious/cultural preference.
8. Assinatura dos Documentos
Após os votos, os noivos muitas vezes assinam os documentos legais necessários.
9. Saída dos Noivos
After the ceremony, the couple leave together, followed by the groomsmen and bridesmaids.
This is the part where guests usually greet and congratulate them.
Como usar as alianças
Traditionally, wedding rings are used on the right hand during engagement and moved to the left hand on the wedding day — each couple, however, can follow their family or religious custom.
